So, what is AI infrastructure?
It’s the integration of AI into existing systems for enterprise businesses.
You see, they have a variety of software running across various departments and the goal of AI’s processing power is to integrate all that information and deliver unique insights and perspective. They’re like customized large language models for each business.

Integrating all the systems together like a smart network is what we’ve seen on a smaller scale in specific sectors.
For example, Salesforce (NASDAQ: CRM) pioneered an integrated system for managing and accessing customer relationship management across the enterprise.
AI integration is simply scaling that model up to an entire organization across all the departments from front-facing customer service (think chatbots) to visibility to not only all the internal information, but the ability to ask questions about operations and have the AI integrate that information for you.
There are two major focuses for AI integration now. Companies like Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG), Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META), Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL), and Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) will be focused on integrating their AI across their own systems first and build out proprietary chips to do it.
The other focus is companies that are going to help companies integrate across their entire enterprise that are running a variety of software that isn’t necessarily compatible.
IBM (NYSE: IBM) has been a leader in this “middleware” business – integrating a variety of diverse software into a unified whole – for a very long time. It’s also one of the pioneers of modern AI models with its Watson.

NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) is also on a similar path, but since it’s primarily a chip company, it’s designing chips to make this work more efficient.
Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) is starting to ramp up its enterprise integration work as well and is moving quickly in this space since it’s already operating integration management for large businesses.
These companies represent the backbone of AI integration’s future, and due to their innovative qualities, they’re quickly becoming the MegaTrend players in this dynamic sector.
