Ripe for Disruption: The New Digital World Has Begun

By: January 5, 2023

Today, I want to start the new year with another MegaTrend: Disruptive Technologies.

We’ve seen them proliferate in recent years, largely because we’ve entered the digital age, and that has meant people and companies can now rethink old strategies for dealing with challenges and solving problems.

As we saw with the pandemic, technology allowed us to develop a cutting edge mRNA vaccine in less than a year after it started. It wasn’t just one company, but several.

Also, these vaccines were highly effective. In the past, vaccines took about 2-3 years to develop, and if they were 60% effective, that was impressive.

Robots Have Arrived

The speed of “lab to fab” isn’t just for healthcare. Now, as inflation rises, companies are looking to do more with less. They need to keep growing their earnings and the means to finding a balance between expanding margins and rising productivity.

Just as the invention of the assembly line revolutionized productivity a century ago, now robotics are taking skilled labor to a different place.

As you can see in the photo above, while the machines are taking up more of the shop floor, it still takes humans to interact with those machines to get the job done. The human jobs are shifting, and so will the economy.

Whether you’re a car maker like Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), a retailer like Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), or a chipmaker like Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM), they’re all using robotics in one form or another to create more efficiencies and productivity.

The Brains Behind the Bots

Dumb robots are no longer the end game. Now, as artificial intelligence (AI) expands rapidly, what robots and smart devices can do is growing rapidly, but it’s all still in its formative stages.

NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) chips are some of the most powerful graphic processors on the market today and are helping power everything from driverless vehicles to drug modeling.

NVDA is also a player in another AI-driven disruptive technology – the blockchain.

The blockchain is an entirely new way to log and store transactions. While it’s been closely linked to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, the uses of blockchain technologies are disrupting even the most conservative financial institutions.

As you can see, it’s not only ushering in the era of disruptive financial technology (fintech), but its potential for so many other industries is massive.

The MegaTrend

I’ll be featuring more on specific disruptive technologies this month and the stocks that are the kind of MegaTrend players that aren’t just starting down this road – they’re blazing the trail.

These are the companies that are driving this massive change forward. For investors, that means they’re the ones that will be the hot stocks when times are good and the safety stocks when times get tough.

Next week, we’ll take a deeper dive into the MegaTrend players in AI.

Introducing Proffe’s Trend Portfolio 2.0!

A new market deserves a fresh start…

In November 2021, Proffe’s Trend Portfolio officially crossed the $1,600,000 target. I reached this milestone with a portfolio of just a dozen stocks and a unique options strategy I perfected in Europe and brought to the US.

Having hit that benchmark, after starting with $30,000 about a decade before, I started to wonder how I could best help new subscribers that are coming on board now at this particular time.

Given the current economic conditions and the massive pullback across all three major indexes, I have decided to relaunch my flagship newsletter: Proffe’s Trend Portfolio.

Join Us!

Your nest egg – and grandchildren – will thank you!

Now and for a limited time, you can experience the market beating returns of Proffe’s Trend Portfolio for only $1 for a full 14 days! During your risk-free trial, you’ll get a firsthand look at how my strategy works and the MegaTrend stocks in the portfolio.

The new portfolio will follow the same criteria and investing philosophy that’s the bedrock of my (and my subscribers’) success, and that means a small portfolio of MegaTrend stocks that tick all the boxes in my Trendsetter Strategy and long-term, in-the-money call options that leverage the same MegaTrend themes as the stocks in the portfolio.

If you’re looking for a new way to invest that will provide great profits with far less work – and worry – than typical investment services, then sign up for a 14-day free trial to Proffe’s Trend Portfolio 2.0 for only $1 and join us for the next million dollar portfolio!
